Hi there! I’m so excited to be posting on my blog for the first time! So, for my first post I’ll be showing you a DIY on how I transformed a mirror I had in my room from this:
So, I’m currently in the process of redoing my room and my color palette is BASICALLY fifty shades of grey…kidding. But really I’m OBSESSED with all things white, grey, and silver. I love that modern glam look, so that’s what I’m going for! I had this mirror that my grandma bought me in my room already, and instead of paying $60-$100 or more on a new one that matches my color scheme, I thought, why not use some good ole spray paint! I’m convinced that there’s almost nothing a little spray paint can’t fix lol. If you wanna see just how I did it, keep on reading!
So first I used tape and scrap paper that I got from home depot to cover the actual mirror part and then I started by spraying the whole frame white (I used the Krylon bright white satin paint and primer that I got from Michael’s for around $5).
Once the white was dry I taped the part of the frame that I wanted to keep white and wrapped newspaper around it. Then I used the Krylon metallic silver spray paint to do the rest of the frame (I also got this one at Michaels and it was around $7).
I let it dry for about 30 minutes and then yay! It’s like a whole new mirror! Here is the finished result!
I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know if you want to see more DIY’s or if you have any suggestions of posts you would like to see from me!(If you’re wondering where I got my vanity mirror you can find it here!)
What did you guys think of this transformation? I’d love to hear from you! Til’ next time.
